Last week we spent 3 days exploring the beautiful island of Santorini. On our last night we were lucky enough to stay at Andronis Luxury Suites located in the heart of the town of Oia.
I am obsessed with swimming pools and it was funny as we had seen these 2 amazing pools nestled away on one of the cliffs in Oia overlooking the cute white buildings, blue domed churches and the sea and I remember thinking how I wished I could swim there. When we went to check in, it turns out that one of those pools was ours! It certainly didn’t take me long to jump in!
Andronis Luxury Suites has 27 luxury suites and villas built in traditional Cycladic style. Our room was the Sunset Villa Aristotelis and it was perhaps one of my favourites that i’ve ever stayed in. Simple, luxurious and chic, comes with it’s own butler, a bed with a memory foam mattress that I never wanted to leave and the pièce de résistance – a heated infinity pool with one of the best views over the cliffs of Oia.
I love how the bed was positioned so we could wake up and immediately be greeted with that stunning cliffside view of Oia. Behind the bed was an open plan wardrobe area with robes and slippers, and to our left was our lounge area with a sofa and television.
Our bathroom was really unique and rustic, like a little cave.
Complete with a spacious rain shower and Chopard products.
When we finally managed to drag ourselves away from our new abode for the night we went to explore the rest of the hotel. Our room had it’s own separate entrance and you had to walk back along the street to access the rest of the hotel. We had a treatement booked in at their Mare Sanus Spa, it was an amazing neck and back massage that left me feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards.
The location of the hotel is definitely one of the best things about it. It allows you to have the privacy and peace you want but within minutes you can be in the hustle and bustle of the streets of Oia.
We had previously watched the sunset from the famous spot in Oia so this time we decided to enjoy it from our heated pool. After all, it’s not every day you get your own private view like that. Watching the colours of the sky change from yellow to pink as another day in Greek paradise came to an end is a moment I won’t forget.
As the sun dipped behind the cliff and the stars started to appear in the sky, the houses and pools on the cliff lit up and we sipped a glass of wine and watched the world go by.
That night we ate at Lycabettus, the hotel’s cliffside restaurant. The food was delicious and with stunning panoramic views, is the perfect place to dine in Oia.
For breakfast you are given a form to fill in the night before where there are a really good range of foods and drinks to choose from, from different types of eggs, waffles, coffee and pastries. You also select a time you would like to eat and it will all be delivered to your room so you can enjoy your breakfast in the privacy of your own balcony.
The staff were really amazing. I honestly can’t praise them enough…from arranging our ferry tickets to another island and calling our next hotel and organising a transfer to helping us take photos… nothing was too much trouble for them.
With stunning views, perfect rooms, the most friendly and helpful staff it was a night in paradise. The only thing I can fault is that 1 night is not enough there.
Thanks Andronis Suites for an amazing stay and a perfect end to our time in Santorini.

How lucky that one of the pools ended up being yours, I’m not surprised you jumped in straight away! The breakfast looks amazing too, Santorini is definitely on my travel wish list
