It’s May. I have no idea how we’re into the fourth month of 2016 already but somehow here we are, the weather’s getting warmer and Summer is well on the way. These are my favourite beauty products I have been loving throughout April…
Beauty Blender I was always more of a brush kinda gal when it came to applying foundation but since buying a Beauty Blender i’ve 100% been converted! I love the flawless finish it gives on your skin.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Although i’m a big fan of Hourglass products I didn’t jump on the bandwagon immediately when this product came out and waited. After reading many reviews online I couldn’t hold back any longer and snapped it up. I’m so glad I did, the powders are gorgeous and smooth everything on your skin. Although it’s quite pricey for what you get – a little goes a very long way.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette This limited edition palette has three shades of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes in the shades Incandescent Electra, Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure. The colors are beautiful and the blushes are highly pigmented so you only need the smallest amount. I have heard people say if you have a medium skin tone they all look quite similar but as i’m fairly pale they show up nicely on my skin.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Sandstone I love BB Shimmer Bricks – swirl your brush over all colors for an all over application or use the colours individually as a highlighter or an eyeshadow. This one is particularly gorgeous with it’s warm tones and just the right amount of shimmer without making you look like a disco ball.
Mac Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul Love this blush (which can also double up as a bronzer) it looks quite scary in the pan but when applied with a light hand looks so beautiful on.
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet It’s not my holy grail foundation but it’s up there in the top 5 and i’ve really been enjoying it this month. It has a light to medium coverage which is buildable, i like to use this during the Spring months when the weather starts to warm up and I don’t want a high coverage foundation on my face and prefer something lightweight. It has a matte-esque finish which is right up my street as i’m always about the matte foundations/powders.
Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight stick This is a very easy to apply subtle highlight that gives off a healthy glow. It’s very creamy and blend-able. I’m usually more of a powder highlight kinda gal but this has now become one of my most used products as it’s such a gorgeous shade.
Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener Very lightweight formula, doesn’t sit in wrinkle lines, long lasting and a good choice of shades.
The Balm Betty Lou Manizer I’m the biggest fan of Mary Lou Manizer so I though i’d give this a go. It gives you a lovely sun kissed glow although I do have to be careful when applying as it can easily look a tad orange on me.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Not sure what else to say other than this is my drugstore HG mascara this month, it gives both length and volume with very little clumping.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow First things first – can we just take a minute to appreciate the gorgeousness of the packaging! Equally as beautiful is the product inside. I don’t contour often but when I do, this is what i’ll use. The contour powder is so flattering/easy to blend and the highlighter really gives you a luminous glow.
Nars Eyeshadow duo in Kalahari I’m a big fan of Nars eyeshadows and this duo didn’t disappoint. The colors are right up my street -bronzey/taupey/browny goodness! The shadow lasts all day without creasing even when I don’t use an eyeshadow primer.
