Amazing food, stunning scenery, gorgeous beaches…..Those are just a few things that pop into my head when I think of the D-Hotel Maris located on the Datça Peninsula.
I had seen a number of photos of D-Hotel Maris on Instagram so had a rough idea of what to expect, so when we were asked if we would like to come and check out the hotel, I jumped at the chance. As we walked through the lobby and out onto the terrace that overlooks the stunning hotel grounds, infinity pool, turquoise sea and mountains in the background my expectations were blown out of the water. We’d arrived in heaven…..
D-hotel Maris boasts 5 stunning beaches all with crystal clear turquoise water that could rival the Maldives and gorgeous white sand that has been important from Egypt. Each has something different to offer, whether it’s music, watersports or privacy you’re after – there is a beach to suit everyone’s needs.
My favourite place was Silent Beach, it is as the name suggests – silent – and has a hanging sofa that swings over the water which was the highlight for me.
When we visited the hotel was full but it never felt that way as there is so much space, the beaches weren’t busy and there were plenty of sun loungers on the beaches and seats in the restaurants. As the hotel grounds are so large, there is a speed boat that shuttles you from beach to beach which is extremely handy, as is the buggy that you can hop on from the reception area.
Whether you fancy Turkish cuisine, Italian, Japanese, fish or steak the D-hotel Maris has a restaurant to satisfy everyone at their 5 amazing restaurants; Zuma, Il Riccio, Bellariva, Ruia and Nuzr-et Steakhouse (best steak i’ve ever had!) After dinner head to ‘Green Hill’ to watch a stunning Turkish sunset and enjoy a glass of wine. The perfect way to end a day!
D-hotel Maris is a gem of a hotel and one of the nicest i’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. It is the perfect place to escape and after spending time there it’ll be hard to go back to reality…..
