I’m a total nail polish addict and i’m not afraid to admit it. Some people collect coins, I collect nail polish! Although I love many brands such as OPI, Nails Inc and China Glaze – it’s Essie that I almost always find myself reaching for as I love the formula, the colours are gorgeous and they don’t chip easily on me. So here’s my Essie collection which just keeps on expanding…
Thigh High A bold ruby red nail with cool/blue-tones and a hint of shimmer. Perfect Winter time shade.
Big Spender is a cool toned dark fuchsia colour that applies smoothly and has great pigmentation. Perfect for when you’re running late because it looks amazing with just one coat.
Bahama Mama one of my faves! A warm deep plum polish, my go-to in the Autumn/Winter and a varnish that every gal needs in her arsenal..
Snap Happy is a bright red-orange with slight pink undertones, it applies like a dream and lasts well.
Fifth Avenue a creamy orange-red with high sheen finish, again a shade I love to wear in the Summer.
Too too hot is a rich red-coral perfect for summer but could be a great year round nail polish depending on your skin tone.
Exotic liras To be honest I bought this because of the name. It’s a fuchsia/raspberry pink. Not streaky and only requires 2 coats for a bright, opaque finish
Watermelon so beautiful and feminine – a pretty pink/red that would flatter most skin tones.
Fiji One of the most popular Essie nail polishes and I love it (especially with a tan) The only thing I’m not a fan of is how many coats it takes to become opaque.
Muchi muchi This is slightly pinker than it’s Fiji sister so I was hoping it wouldn’t be as streaky but I still prefer Fiji.
Tart deco A beautiful, bright pastel orange colour which looks gorgeous in the Summer on tanned skin.
Play date One of Essie’s best. A beautiful lilac/orchid colour that applies nicely and reaches opacity in two coats with no streakiness.
Mint Candy apple You can’t get a better mint green shade that this, it’s so gorgeous and the name instantly makes me want mint chocolate ice cream!
Turquoise & Caicos Another lovely shade but I don’t wear this often enough because it’s fairly similar to Mint Candy Apple and I much prefer that shade.
Bikini so teeny One of the most hyped Essie colours and I can see why. It’s such a beautiful shade and I love wearing it in the Summer.
Funny Face My HG pink in the Summer, usually paired with Essie’s Mint Candy Apple on my ring finger. A gorgeous creamy bubblegum pink. Lasts ages, doesn’t chip easily. Love it!
Status Symbol This is a nice creamy pink shade that I don’t wear often enough.
Peach daiquiri Bursting with colour that pops out and suits my skin tone so well, this peachy-coral is perfect for summer.
Bottle service I saw this online and had to snap it up! An amazing neon fuchsia colour and one of my go to varnishes in the Summer time.
Cute as a button This beautiful bright pinky coral is the first ever Essie nail polish I bought. Perfect spring and summer colour!
Sunday funday Essie describes it as a tangerine crush coral nail polish with soft shimmer and I couldn’t have put it better myself. I don’t usually wear glittery varnishes but I make an exception for this one.
Essie Good to Go – Sparkle on top – Rock at the top – A cut above
Hi,
I think collecting nail polishes is more interesting than coin or stamp collections. You have a very beautiful collection, which may have grown since you posted the pictures.
I don’t often wear glittery polishes too, because they are not so easy to remove.
I love Bahama Mama too. It is a classic for me. Essie is just the best. Easy to apply and fast drying. 🙂
Greetings from Germany!
